About Me

I'm Fred Pope

I am a passionate technologist, and proven entrepreneur. My formal training was in economics, and I ultimately built a company and set records for growth, and completely crashed and burned too as too rapid of growth got the best of me. I've been at it for over 30 years, and I have more fire in my belly today than I ever have.

Business and work are sport for me and I get the most satisfaction from the thrill of accomplishment and achievement, especially when I can witness someone else reaching new levels of performance, or when I can see a system work as it should. My heros are the great innovators, and managers throughout history, and I love studying and watching great companies and their cutltures.

I've always been the guy that can make things work. My speciality is in deploying, and overseeing complex systems. It doesn't particularly matter if I have worked on it before, typically with a herculean style effort, and a well developed approach founded on the idea that I don't know anything, I am able to continually and successfully turn ideas into working solutions that are performing jobs for customers.

I currently work as a freelance developer and digital business specialist and continue my education with a steady flow of reading and online courses. The biggest thrill for me is learning something new and expanding my toolset so I have more to work with on my next challenge.
